In her time with Chassis Systems Control China, Hong Liu was responsible for setting up new company in Chengdu for our business unit to enlarge ABS/ESP production under the “Go west” strategy in China. In close cooperation with the management she built up the staﬀ and HR management system for this operation from scratch: within two years she set up a smoothly running operation of 400 employees and got certiﬁed by the company central audit with the excellent result of “no deviations” in HR area.
Highly structured and strategic in her approach, Hong developed the HR policies and processes as well as the employee handbook, built up a highly eﬀective 3-persons-HR-team in form of a lean department to implement the HR policies and processes, including staﬃng, compensation and beneﬁts, training and development, career planning; supported executive managers and line managers to develop common objectives and eﬃciently work together, and fostering the exchange of experience and best practice with HRs from other BUs.
Her legacy in the company will be the recruiting strategy of the newly setup plant, including the development of a compensatory system for the less developed talent market in Chengdu, the staﬃng plan, internal transfers and local hiring strategies and processes.
